I’m Rob Pearce, and Forge is my consultancy. I have spent the last thirteen-plus years operating inside agencies, most recently a senior leader in client success and commercial strategy at an enterprise WordPress agency through and after its private-equity-backed acquisition. Before the agency arc, director of business consulting and COO at a small CPA practice. Before that, I was COO of a media and live events company for roughly a decade. And along the way, deal-side work on M&A. The combination is rarer than the resume makes it sound.
I grew up inside my family’s printing business, so the operator instinct has been my default since I was old enough to be useful. What the seats teach you, when you have actually sat in them, is what the conversations in your leadership room feel like. The CPA practice taught me how a CFO thinks about margin and capacity. The COO years taught me what it costs to run a business rather than advise one. The deal work taught me how exits actually price. The agency tenure taught me how the work, the team economics, and the client relationships behave when something like AI starts reshaping what is possible.
The three rooms
I can sit with your CFO on Monday about margin, with you on Tuesday about a possible exit, and with a delivery lead on Wednesday about AI-built tooling, and stay credible in all three rooms.
The AI moment
This is where the current AI moment in agency work gets interesting to me.
AI is a capability layer your team can use to deliver more value to your clients and to make your senior people more useful across more accounts.
That is the room I show up in. I have shipped AI tools inside an agency commercial function and watched what they change about the work, the conversations, and what your senior people can take on.
How I work
One last thing about how I work.
Forge keeps working with you only as long as the work keeps earning it.
The engagements are scoped that way and the relationships are run that way. If that is the kind of partner you are looking for, start a conversation.
